for Active engagement with Climate Finance and the GCF

The project which focuses on strengthening African women’s voices and participation in Climate Finance and the Green climate fund processes will mobilize African women to actively engage climate finance and green climate Fund.
This project is a build up from the earlier project being implemented by C21st with Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (GAGGA), Women Environment and Development Organization(WEDO) and BothEnds, titled: Participation is Power, Women Demand Gender-Just Climate Finance and Nigerian Project component: Local Women Engaging Climate Finance and The Green Climate Fund.

The objectives of these initiatives are to:
1. Build capacity and empower African women and GCF gender Monitors in Africa  for active participation and representation of African women voices and conerns  in climate finance  and GCF processes.
2.  Facilitate and coordinate GCf gender Country monitors across Africa and other stakeholders to represent African women voices in reviewing projects and seeking feedback  on African projects presented for approvals at the GCF and other relevant climate finance mechanism.

African women who are interested in being part of this project should reach out to C21st for further discussion on the processes.
